Welcome to the 2024 Session
We are looking forward to the 2024 Session! Opening day is on January 17th and the Capitol is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. I welcome you to come visit the Capitol and stay up to date on the latest news in the legislature.
This session the legislature is addressing concerns about affordable housing and homelessness, renewable energy, mental health needs, and the healthcare worker shortage. Furthermore, we will be addressing the impacts of the Maui wildfires to help the Hawai’i residents prosper.
I encourage you to participate in the legislative process through tracking bills, attending and submitting public testimony, or reaching out to my office.
Virtual Community Meeting for the Coconut Marketplace Mobility Hub (CMMH) Plan
The County of Kaua‘i Office of Economic Development invites the public to a virtual meeting on transportation conditions and potential improvements in and around the Coconut Marketplace on the eastern shore of Kaua‘i. The meeting will be held on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 5:30 p.m., on Zoom.

Kapa'a Informational Town Hall Meeting
Please join this upcoming informational Town Hall presentation about the future redevelopment of Kapa’a Homes into a 100% affordable housing community. There will be an opportunity to hear from the Hawai’i Public Housing Authority and the developer, ask questions, and share your feedback.
